I am in the business of stone restoration with 3 years of experience. Purchased this product two month ago so i can not yet judge on its durability. It is Much BIGer and Heavier than my company owed Makita wet polisher, but it is capable of 900RPMs. Why it is important? Because of lower speed i am able to final polish with steel wool and christalizer. The christalizer dos not drip as much on surrounding walls and the steel wool sits perfectly. Just for your information, the company Makita wet polisher does 2,000 - 4,000RPM and most of our diamond polishing is done between 2,000-3,000, so Damo polisher is well suited for the job with its range of 900-2,950RPM.... With my Damo polisher ear protection is a must. On high rpms it is an ear drum killer so keep that in mind. Hope my honest review will help to shape your decision :-)
