Ruvati RVH8050 Overmount 16 Gauge 33" Kitchen Sink Double Bowl Review

We purchased this sink to replace a smaller undermount sink in a granite counter top. We wanted the heavy 16 gauge material for durability, plus the themal and sound insulation which this sink has. The insulation is sprayed on and completely covers the bottom and sides of both tubs. My wife and I are very pleased with the sink's overall quality and brushed metal finish. The included drain baskets and chrome rinse shields are also very high quality. Everything arrived from the seller well packaged and with no damage. A few installation issues caused my 4 star rating rather than 5 stars. First, there were no installation instructions in the package or on the manufacturer's website. The only document I found on the website titled "Instructions" just repeated the sink features from the product page, plus a line drawing of the sink with dimensions, care instructions and warranty information. Second, the sink's width, 22 inches, and the required hole size, results in a very tight fit within a standard 24" deep sink cabinet. While this is not entirey the manufacturer's fault, more comprehensive instructions could alert buyers to this possible issue. Third, the installation brackets provided were barely long enough to reach the bottom surface of the granite counter top, and required modification by my plumber. These two installation issues increased the installation labor time and cost. Having said all of this, my wife and I are both very happy with our new sink. Along with the new stainless steel, single handle faucet with a pull down spray, we have a very neat an modern looking installation. We recommend this product to others, and suggest they consider professional installation because of the possible problems mentioned above.
