Top 21 is Lamellos top of the line biscuit joiner with all the features. It is the only biscuit joiner in the world with a repeatable adjustable blade height and stop square that mounts on the bottom for support when joining near the end of a surface. The Top 21 features a new baseplate that is ground square so it can be used as a reference point and slots can be cut right up against another workpiece. The new stop square mounts in an internal dovetail slide making it extremely precise. The machines powerful 800w Smart motor is electronically controlled for soft starts, maintaining proper RPM in all types of materials, and overload protection. All referenceable surfaces are CNC machined vs. cast for extreme precision and repeatability over years of service. The Top 21 comes with an integrated dust bag, 6 tooth carbide scoring cutter in a handsome wooden carrying case.

I bought the previous version (Lamello 101053UHMZ Top 20 S3 Biscuit Joiner) in June 2006 and have cut over 2,000 biscuits with it. The Lamello is precisely machined and built for extraordinarily precise biscuit joinery. Every joint is precisely aligned even cutting joints as fast as I can move the joiner. The bonus is the rotary dial that allows micro adjustment for offset joints. The Lamello is expensive and worth it if you are serious about doing great woodworking. Using expensive hardwoods, it's the only tool I would use for biscuit joinery as I know that 100% of the joints will be perfect the first time. The precision-machined fence comes with several accessories to make it easy to get accurate cuts in every imaginable situation. For edge gluing alignment and similar tasks, it's the tool I always turn to with complete confidence.
