I installed these myself on two windows. It was relatively painless and went way quicker than expected. During the day they work like they should, kind of. If you press your face up against them you can see in very easily. We have very dim lights in our house at night, very dim, the highest watt bulb I have is a 25 watt dark orange/amber bulb. So I figured no need to worry about the fish bowl effect the light we have installed right next to the glass outside is surely bright enough to counteract out our dim house... nope not at all. The second it gets dark you can no longer see outside, and if your outside looking in you can see absolutely everything clear as day. I do notice they help keep heat at bay but being completely bind to the outside world at night is not cool. When I look outside at night I just see myself staring back, no shapes, no light just a black mirror...not ok.
