This range hood looks great in our new kitchen. It is well made, which made it a little bit of a challenge for one person to install. This hood is heavy and because of it's size a little awkward; plan on having some makeshift scaffolding or a couple of strong backs to work the vent into place once you have all the hardware up. We have 8' ceilings, and to get the vent high enough so I wouldn't run into the glass just using the stove, I had to shorten the framework holding the hood in place to the ceiling. That said, I would do it all over again. The hood is well made and it runs quietly. The three different levels of lighting from the four halogens always has the perfect level. The lowest level is like a bright night light, not bright enough to cook well by, but certainly enough to navigate by. The highest level is great for cooking with. The fans have enough volume at the lowest setting for light cooking, and though a little noisy at the highest setting, it's not too bad and it does a good job picking up all the steam. The hood looks great in our new kitchen. We love it.
