I mounted my K-5027-1 over a customized wall-hung vanity; no pedestal used. This sink has a distinct, modern look with a wide, deep basin coming up to a narrow lip. The back faucet-bearing surface is wide enough to easily hold a soap dish or dispenser and is sloped so that all water splashed onto it drains off into the basin. The porcelain finish is very smooth and uniform. There are 2 issues I've found that make this 4-star not 5, but both wouldn't stop me from buying it again. First, the chrome button that covers the basin overflow hole can pop off when struck by hands or a washrag. It is easy to plug back in. Second, the steep slope of the left and right basin sides makes it easier for water to splash up and over them. You'll make the adjustment the first time you spit out your mouthwash. Still, the sink functionality is very good, and it is the sharpest-looking in its price range.
