Over the past 15 years of doing concrete countertops Ive used the DC 301. Needed a new one and decided to try the flex 1703. Had it 3 weeks, broke a belt, which i thought was odd because they advertized the unit as gear driven... Ordered an over priced replacement belt and the very next day the motor starts acting up... speeding up and slowing down and finally stopping.
At this point I have two large bartops to finish and nothing but a hand polisher. The only place to fix warranty issues....Nebraska. Got on the phone to intertool, ordered a dc3011 and never looked back. the flex lcp1703vr.....A $2000 waste of money.
