StellaSKY Floor Lamp-White Review

The light that this lamp provides is spectacular. I am using the lamp for needlepoint work and the various modes of light (white or yellow) are helpful. I have no complaints about the actual lighting function. I do, however, have some issues with the design. As stated by another reviewer, the function of the extendable arm leaves a lot to be desired. The option of raising and lowering the light is great for this product but they really missed on design. The cable that connects the base of the lamp to the upright pole and subsequently the part that can extend is coiled inside the upright pole. This makes RAISING the extendable arm a breeze but when you want to lower it... forget it. The coil inside the upright serves as a stop inside the pole so the extending arm doesn't go down. After dissecting the entire lamp, we figured out that to lower the arm, you have to twist and lower clockwise at the same time so you are simultaneously making the coiled wire inside the upright pole tight enough to prevent it from hitting the sides (which creates the blockage going down). Now that I know the trick, I will be fine but it took me a while to get there. The other thing that is irritating to me (but not a design flaw) is that the remote control for this lamp is on the same frequency as my TV remote so every time I turn the TV on, my light goes on. Every time I change the channel the lamp either goes on or off. ---- all that said, I plan to keep the lamp and I am sure I will get many good years of use out of it.

Both two of these. Black paint scratches every easliy. Had to return one. Hard to install. First unit piece didn't go together easily, second did. My wife love the way its looks. We bought the sink a little over a year ago for a new house we were building. The sink was installed about 3 months ago and within a month, cracks began to form and grow. After inspecting the underside of the sink, a line of bubbles in the casting were noted along where the crack had formed. This was brought to the attention of American Standard and they refused to take any responsibility. I guess $600 is the breaking point for bad publicity. I will not be buying any other goods from American Standard from this point forward.

This unit operates and cleans the air as expected. It has a prefilter (looks like a furnace filter) and a deep pocket internal filter. The air is visibly cleaner. It is amazing how much dust I have been putting up with the last few years. I have small shop about 650 square feet with 9 foot ceiling. I wanted to install two units. I purchased 2 units from Amazon and one came in damaged. The box has no protection packing save the cardboard container. I ordered a replacement with no hassles from Amazon. Took it to UPS and just dropped it off with the shipping label from Amazon. The third one came in two days. It was damaged. Same deal returned it with no hassle. Ordered the forth. It was damaged worse than the others. I tried to return this one and a rep informed I had reached the level of returns they were willing to replace. They did take the last unit back and gave me credit on my charge card. I told them the packaging was terrible. They gave me a $25.00 free credit for my troubles. Really nice PR. I am still needing a second unit. Woodcraft was having a sale and I bought a Jet from them. Other than paint I'd say they were both made in the same factory. Jet was packaged superbly. The interesting thing is the remote control from either the Delta or Jet will operate both or either unit.
