We bought this chandelier for our new house to replace an old one. Got out a huge a frame ladder, and with my brothers help, hung chandelier.

The balls are a pain in the butt to put on and two people is almost a necessity. It will take some playing around to get the bracket lined up right and flush with the ceiling; do this on the GROUND. You will throw a fit trying to do this on the ladder. At the same time I was adding dimmers and didn't test right away. Big mistake.

After a couple weeks messing around with the wiring, I gave up and took off all the balls and took the chandelier down. The wires for the center socket are friction fit and one pulled out. All the sockets are wire nutted together, and is very poorly assembled. I fixed the socket, tightened all the screws for top ring, sockets, and the mount. I had to remove the wire nuts, restrip all of the wires, solder together and re nut.

Before you hang this chandelier, check every electrical connection, tighten all screws and nuts, wire up a cord and test on the ground. You only want to put up the fixture once. At least, after the fix, the light is flush and we will never have problems with the sockets or wiring

Aside for the "harbor freight" assembly, the chandelier looks great, and can even be energy saving with led bulbs and a dimmer as opposed to the 300watts of halogen lights it comes with. We would buy again, but would check the entire thing before putting up.
