I bought this initially for a hallway and didn't realize how big it was - Note it is 18"x 18". It looked ridiculous in the hallway that is only 3-4 feet wide so we ended up moving it to the foyer. It uses standard (A19 socket) bulbs which is a nice plus. It looks magnificent in our foyer and provides sufficient light for a foyer and has the right size for it. It looks really sleek and looks very nice (we bought the Brushed Nickel version). I would recommend this for foyers or rooms but not hallways or powder rooms. If the size is right, do not hesitate to buy this!
