I would recommend this system to anyone who wants the protection of an alarm system, but doesn't want to pay the high monthly monitoring fees associated with professional monitoring services (averaging $30-$50 per month). Since you're not paying for monitoring services with this system, it will pay for itself within the first year. I believe this system is just as good as any system installed by a national brand carrier (I had a professionally installed unit in my previous house). This system is quite easy to install and comes with detailed step-by-step instructions. It will call up to 4 telephone numbers when the alarm is triggered and you can program the message to say whatever you want it to say. I've programmed it to call my cell phone first, my wife's second, and two good (reliable) close friends/neighbors last. If the 1st person that's called answers and deactivates the system correctly, the other 3 people are not called and/or bothered. The window and door sensors work great and the motion detectors also work fine. The motion sensors are 'pet immune' so my 'friendly' dogs do not activate the sensors during the 'away' mode. You can turn the system on and off using the wall keypads, but I found the keyfob remotes to be handier since they only require the simple push of one button to activate or deactivate the system (no special pins or passwords are required). I only had to call customer service once during installation with a programming question and they were very friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer my question(s) without any problem. Customer service is very important when buying and maintaining any do-it-yourself projects, and when I did my homework researching home alarm systems, this company received very good reviews compared to some other sellers that are out there. I highly recommend this unit!
