This is precisely what I was looking for: beautiful, super high quality, heavy duty sliding door hardware. It is smooth as butter, completely silent, and friction-free. You have to be careful with a very light touch when you open or close it, or it will run all the way to the stops, but even then, the stops are spring loaded, so it's a soft landing.

HOWEVER - you will need some serious thought behind the installation. It can be done, but attention to detail is critical. For example, when mounted directly above the doorway, the door itself will hang within 1/4 inch of the wall. Not a problem, you think? Well, do you have baseboards installed? And are they thicker than 1/4 inch? Therein lies the rub, so to speak. My contractor got around this by installing a finished board above the doorway, and attaching the door hardware to that, which allowed the door to hang such that it cleared the baseboards.

So bottom line, the hardware and the seller are top notch. The instructions are pretty lightweight, but with some advance planning, you'll have a functional work of art.
